Organic vs. paid results, what's better?

I figure that organic results in SEO are better, because it happens gradually as you build your site. But paid for results aren't as good imo. When I see paid for ads on Google for example, I tend to steer clear of those, mainly because of my years of never wanting to click on ads again, haha. But due to that, I look at paid ads on Google differently, because just about anyone can pay to be up there.

Organically gives you more chances, it's more reliable and looks better to an audience. What do you think though? I have nothing against paid results, but I think you're better off with organic.

Organic looks better for sure, it's a lot more reliable than say paid results, as the work is pretty much already done. With paid for results, it works, but you're paying for something that might not result in as good organic does.
